Autumn Sun Goddess Brooch

A friend gave me this paperclay face – took a while to work out what to do with it once I had bezelled it. Adding the fringe made me realise it looked a bit like a sun, and the colours were autumnal, so hence she became Autumn Sun Goddess.P1050237

I love the choice of seed bead and magatama colours, going towards the darker reds and a slight tendency towards cooler reflections…it really brings my attention to the gold center.
Why did you choose to make the top and bottom “rays” different?

    • I think that I was thinking of the magatamas representing her hair to begin with, the name of Autumn Sun Goddess only came to mind after she was finished!
