Somebody asked me if I could do some beadwoven spectacle holders for her. I had never done any before, but experimented a bit and came up with these three designs. I think I will keep the last one for myself!

tilacuff2I had never really used tila beads until a few weeks ago, but after playing with them recently I am quite excited by them! These cuffs are very quick and easy to make using a variation of ladder stitch and I love this colour.

This is a new version of an earlier design, with a better clasp. It is stitched in odd-count peyote, using the two needle method, in double delicas, so the main part works up quickly. I don’t like to have thread showing at the edges though, so I did an edging which took longer than making the main section!
