Flowers from Contemporary Geometric Beadwork

rivoli flower

These flowers both started with a zigged MRAW band – see this post for link to book and videos. The olivine rivoli flower started as a rickrack bangle, but it was too small for me, so I put a bezelled rivoli in the centre and made it into a flower. I’ve now put a brooch pin on the back.

parrottulip1parrottulip2This one is based on Kate’s parrot tulip – I made one more or less as described in the book, then made a second with a slight variation. They looked so good stacked together that I stitched them like that. I think it looks more like a water lily now!
