Monthly Archives: September 2012

I designed this necklace a few months ago using a variation of daisy chain with cube beads and I wore it to a bead fair.  When it was spotted by the ladies on the Beadworkers’ Guild stall and they asked if they could publish the pattern for it in their journal of course I said yes! I have been a member of the guild for a couple of years, and always enjoy reading the journal. I designed some earrings to match and made it up in matte black AB as well as the matte metallic patina.

I posted them off to be photographed, with an outline of how I made them, plus two different styles of matching bracelet, and have now been told that it will appear in the October journal – so any day now!

I found some instructions for two needle symmetrical netting by Jennifer Airs on the Bead Buddies Forum, and have used that stitch for the straps. The beaded toggle fits through a loop which echoes the design of the netted bezel.
